We from Rugova Experience are a tourism oriented NGO active in the region of Peja/Peć. This beautiful area is one of the last remaining undiscovered natural treasures of the Balkan, mostly because of the impressive mountains that form the background in the West of the town of Peja/Peć. Their name in Albanian translates into the Accursed Mountains, thanks to their sudden height and untamed nature. Their rocky peaks, green slopes, valley and lakes offer a great environment for all kinds of outdoor activities. We specialize in organizing such events, ranging from hiking to rock climbing, from a simple walk in the fresh air to a weekend long camping trip.

We try to offer the adventurous traveler an easy way to discover the splendors of the Rugova Valley while at the same time involving the local population in the guiding of tours and the identifying of new interesting trails for hiking.
In case you would like to stay overnight we have found comfortable private houses, bed & breakfasts and restaurants in the region that both local and international tourists would appreciate.
