Responsible tourism

Rugova Experience agrees with the concept of responsible tourism trying to develop tours and tourism in this way. We constantly work taking care about environment, culture and society in order that these aspects will not be spoil by our activity. Little but important devices are followed during our tours:
•    We would prefer to guest our tourists in locally owned accomodation so that revenue will be spread in local community.
•    Meals are another way to contribute to local development that’s why we are in touch with a number of local managed restaurants who directly produce and prepare delicious food.
•    We employ local guide who grow up in the territory in order to help travellers understanding better culture, etiquette and traditions.
•    Involving in our operations local people we aim to share with Kosovar society benefits of tourism.
•    Our tours are carried out polluting as little as possible using public transportation where possible or sharing a vehicle among partecipants.
We are aware that tourism industry affects local community and its daily life and we behave ourself in order to minimize these impacts on the territory. We are strongly convinced that these shrewdnesses will lead our country into a better future and our activity into a more sustainible growth.

Our offer

Rugova Experience was founded five years ago and since then we develop our offer. Nowadays, there are eleven tours ready to be experienced.
What makes our tours original and unique?
Our origin
We are convinced to show landscape and territory better then anyother because everybody involved in this project was born and grow up here. Nobody can tell you better then us stories and traditions linked to these mountains and this places.
Our range of tours
It’s costantly improving and enlarging. We are always ready to listen to your suggests and to your comments. Our network is getting bigger and bigger and we are trying to develop important relationships with the main partners of the valley
Our meals
Food is an important part of our tours and of tourism in general. We want to make your visit in Kosovo even more special thanks to our speciality.
Specific tours for meals and food, in order to teach to everybody interest the secrets of our kitchen, are organized. However, you will discover the good taste of kosovar and balkans dishes in every tour thanks to the agreement with some of the finest restaurant of the country.
Groups
We prefer to work with small and middle size groups from 6 up to 12 people in order to create an ideal situation to explore creating a low impact on the nature around us.
Week-end
Our tours are potentially organized every week-end during the whole year, so you will have plenty of chances to experience our tours. Kosovo has something to surprise you in every season, you will see how easily these landscapes will change.

We are convinced that to show to people a country in his best you have to be born, grow up and live in it.

Rugova Experience is a professional tour operator specialized in offering daily tours around Rugova Valley and Peja/Pec in western Kosovo.
Our mission is to introduce responsible tourism in this country, making its beauties accessible for the travellers interested in discovering the true history, traditions and people of it.
We offer a vast range of experiences trying to increase the value of the territory meeting the interest of the tourist. You will find for sure a tour suitable for you, for your family or your friends.
The object of these tours is to contribute to change the image of Kosovo making these travel days unforgettable.
